Who is Jesus?

God requires perfection and holiness. Yet we, in our inescapable sinfulness, have earned nothing but death and hell. And even on our best days, when we’re absolutely killing it, we’ve acquired nothing more than a pile of filthy rags. But Jesus…God-made-man, Word-made-flesh, God’s own and only Son, was sent to Earth as a baby through a virgin named Mary. He lived the perfect, sinless life that we could never live, and then suffered and died on a cross in obedience to God the Father as the perfect sacrifice for our sins, once for all, that no other sacrifice would ever have to be made for us. Then, three days after dying, He rose from the dead proving for all time that He has the power over death. He ascended to Heaven where He currently sits at God’s right hand.

What does that mean for you? The Bible clearly says that if we put our hope in Jesus, surrender to Him as our Lord, accepting His death as the payment for our sins, we are saved. No more striving for perfection, or hoping our good out-weighs our bad at the end of the day. Because if you are His, it’s not Jesus plus anything – It’s just Jesus. Find your rest solely in Him.

Of course, there is so much more to Jesus than I could possibly fit here. So if you have any questions – please, please, please contact me! I’d love to tell you more!
